We started a little slow today but unfortunately ended up turning away patients after hours. We are over booked by 8 patients tomorrow and have a waiting list of 7. Please pray that we are efficient and able to take care of the patients that need our services most.
The remaining group from Western Carolina University left this morning... sad to see them go. The GFV team in the photo with them are wearing navy blue scrubs tops.
Replacing the WCU team are mostly local volunteers and a volunteer from NC.
Thank you to Leon who has been supporting the clinic from Hawaii... yes, Hawaii... go figure! He has been an invaluable resource - auditing patient records, submitting eyeglass prescriptions to our partner Versant and much more.
