Thanks to a compassionate and motivated team of volunteers and eye care professionals we were able to see 34 patients last Saturday at Whosoever Gospel Mission in the Germantown section of Philadelphia.
A big Shout Out to Versant Health for their partnership and donation of prescription eyeglasses so we could take eye care to people with the greatest need who cannot afford these services. Thanks also to James Geraghty and his amazing team at the lab .... because of their work we will be dispensing the prescription eyeglasses on Friday. We could not do this so quickly without their involvement. You guys at Versant Health ROCK!
Dr Donna, Dr Brie, Diane, Cherie, Rosemary, Brett, Joe, Andrea, Cathy, Luke, Jonah, Karen W, Karen E, James, Leon, John K and Linda it was fun working with you at this clinic. Your team work, selflessness, attention to detail, concern for the patients, professionalism and hard work made my job easy. Thank You. I hope to have the privilege of working with you again at a future clinic.
Shout out also to Bob Emberger, Heather Rice and your dedicated team at Whosoever Gospel Mission. You are doing an amazing job among the poorest of the poor. "Stand firm, Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." 1 Corinthians 15:58.
A big thank you also to all of our prayer and financial supporters! You are as much a part of the team as those of us who were at the clinic and will indeed be blessed by our great Savior and Lord when He says "Well done, good and faithful servant".
